Continuous Improvement
NYSED uses an accountability system grounded in multiple measures of school and district performance to identify needs across the state and provide differentiated supports designed to promote continuous improvement for all students.
- Schools identified for Local Support and Improvement (LSI) receive their support from the district and have access to continuous improvement planning materials available through NYSED.
- Schools identified for Targeted Support and Improvement (TSI) receive their support from the district, and additional resources are available through NYSED.
- Schools identified for Additional Targeted Support and Improvement (ATSI) receive their support from the district; additional resources and support are available through NYSED.
- Schools identified for Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) receive their support from the district and NYSED, along with additional resources and support available through NYSED.
The Field Support Team has developed tools and resources to support continuous improvement in all schools and districts through an examination of the systems and structures designed to support the Core Instruction and the district’s vision for high-quality teaching and learning.
